Cyndi Friday News

Hi, it's Cyndi here for today's post. I was just about to settle down for a nap when Jan finally said we can use the computer for a few minutes. So here I am rushing to put this together.

Buddy is very happy we have no photo of what happened to him today. As ice has melted on the roof, it has dripped onto the back steps and since the sun doesn't reach it there, the middle step is a thin sheet of ice and the bottom step is half ice. After the storm, Jan broke up thick ice with a hoe, but today she decided to coat the ice with lots of salt water to melt it easier. And when she opened the door, Buddy assumed she was going out, so he popped out the door. Just as Jan dumped a pitcher of very cold, salty water on his head. Oops.

We consider ourselves lucky Jan didn't crack her head on the cement when she tried to fly Wednesday. No telling what strange things she might be doing if she had. As it is, we just have to deal with her moving in slow motion and hogging the computer more than usual. So if you don't mind. just pretend you don't notice it's almost tomorrow before we finally get today's post up now.

We have a short but cute video for you today. But first, we'd like you to know we would never do anything like this. Okay, we would think about it. Actually Buddy and Sam would do this in a heartbeat! And, well, we cats would steal the meat if we could. So, maybe we better amend the statement to we would never do anything like that if we could get caught on video.

If the video doesn't play, click here.

You thought we were kidding about reminding you daily about voting for our friends, didn't you. But we weren't kidding. They can really use your vote.

Our neighbors in Pike County, Georgia have no animal control and no shelter. Friends of Pike County Animals (FPCA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization (currently seeking 501 (c) 3 status) We hope you can spare a minute - daily until January 31 - to vote for FPCA for the Pepsi $50,000 grant.

You can vote for them at Create an animal adoption & education center in rural Pike County, GA.

And please pass this on and ask your friends to vote. We all know how important it is that any community's animals have an advocate. They are not a well-known organization with lots of followers so they will need your help to win.

  9. That poor doggie I was thinking that he was going to will the sandwich into his mouth. I understand that didn't work so he had to go to plan B. It's all about possession.
Love to all at your place.

  12. That dog was so eying that sandwich. So funny, just couldn't keep his eyes off of it. Didn't look like the kid minded. Glad the parents thought it was funny too.

  19. Jan, hope you have enjoyed your quiet today as all of your gang has spent the day with me at the Mad Catter Party. I wanted to let you know that you might want to leave a light on cause the gang will be home late or maybe even not until sometime on Sunday as we are going to continue the party through Sunday. Is great seeing everyone. I swear, that is just a figure of speech as it isn't polite to swear, that each party is better than the last one!!
