Christmas Lane

MERCI:  Last week Jan and her friend Johnnie walked Christmas Lane to take pictures.

CAMERON:  What?  You didn't know Christmas Lane is located in rural Georgia?  We have maps if you have any trouble locating it using your GPS.  They're only five cans of cat food and four cans of dog food each.

RUSTY:  We thought we would use one of those photographs for our weekend art.

MARCUS:  It didn't snow here but that's no problem.  Jan just inverted the colors and ... presto!  Snow.

BUDDY:  With a little magic from Picasa we have our Caturday Art ready.  This is our Christmas snow scene with Santa sitting in front of the fire with his friends.

CYNDI:  Brrrr, it's cold tonight and that picture makes me feel even colder.  We should be sitting in front of a fire to stay warm.  Hey, Jan, turn that gas heat up!

The Caturday Art blog hop is hosted by Athena.

PERCY:  And this is our sepia picture.  Marcus, of course, approves because it looks like his favorite color - dirt.

The Sepia Saturday blog hop is co-hosted by Ruckus the Eskie and Earl & Ethel.

SAM:  This is the original color shot.  We have never had a tree here.  Knowing Jan like we do, we can't help but wonder if it's because Jan is afraid she would fall off the stool while decorating it.

MICAH:  Here is a preview of tomorrow's black and white version for comparison.  It looks a bit like a Halloween background to us.  Wonder if Santa is aware he's sitting in the wrong neighborhood seasonal setting?

  4. All the versions of your photo are great! Sounds like everyone who lives where there is snow doesn't want any! Since we just moved to where we can get snow, mom can't wait. Doesn't really matter to me since I only have to look at it through the windows!

  10. We like it! We got a "dusting" of snow which is actually worse. It makes it a lot colder without any of the fun for the pups.
